I’ve been talking about 6/7 for weeks. Every other customer at my coffee post got to hear about it, some more than once. Fortunately for me, a seasoned tech veteran with a good position on the Totem Pole made the best suggestion I’ve ever heard. Trying not to become hysterical, I agreed that having me share my passion and love for Italy in front of Expedia was a fine idea. The more I thought about it, the less I thought about anything else. This really was the opportunity of a lifetime and little of this gig had to do with a potential future windfall. Much like two weeks ago when I self-actualized a goal I’d promised myself on March 12th 1987 by publishing the book I had envisioned on the long-ago day, the events of 6/7 were also long-time occupants of my life goals list. Speaking to inspire has lived on the second line of that list, just waiting for 6/7. This was my chance to create specific action that would have tangible benefits. Something tells me by the four dozen books that went back to offices tucked under the arms of future Tuscan explorers, that my slide deck made the grade. Nothing great can be accomplished alone. Publisher, Ethan, and Book Designer, Sonja, had as much to do with preparing me for this coming-out party as anyone. These two answer the call, every time. Time to ship some more books!
